Duration of the FPA

The FPA art. 17 states that the current Framework Partnership Agreement entered into force on 1st January 2014. In case of Framework Partnership Agreements signed after 1 January 2014, the Agreements in question shall enter into force on the date of receipt by the Commission of one original signed by the Humanitarian Organisation.

The current Framework Partnership Agreement that was originally deemed to last five years, has been extended and will last until 31 December 2020 unless the Parties decide otherwise.

In order to reflect this change, Article 17(a) of the Framework Partnership Agreement concluded with your Organisation is amended accordingly.

The amendment shall be deemed to be an integral part of the Agreement. It shall enter into force on 1 January 2019 unless your organisation objects to the extension of duration of the FPA. Any such objection must be sent in writing to DG ECHO ( at the latest by 31 December 2018.
