A very short introduction to the 2014 FPA

What is it?

This course intends to provide an overview of DG ECHO, its working modalities and the main elements of the 2014 FPA for NGOs.

This training is provided in asynchronous modality; therefore, lessons will be available on the distance-learning platform at any time.

Training modules are delivered through presentations completed by background speech and visual effects, along with practical exercises at the end of each session to test the acquired knowledge.

Who can participate?

This course has been designed for newcomer DG ECHO and Partners staff, both at HQ and field level. It can also be used as a refresher course for humanitarian aid workers who already have a knowledge of DG ECHO and want to become familiar with the main novelties of the 2014 FPA for NGOs.

What are the main contents?

The course is divided into 8 short sections.
It will provide participants with a general overview of who is DG ECHO and its working modalities, namely, partnership, needs assessment, funding decisions; basic indications on how to prepare a proposal and the main aspects to be taken into consideration when implementing and closing the Action.

This training does not require any specific knowledge of DG ECHO.
